At this year's Client Choice Awards, Mag. Mark Krenn once again won an award in recognition of his fantastic achievements in the area of real estate in Austria.

The award, with a prize fund of EUR 1,000, was presented during an official ceremony at the University of Salzburg on Friday 24 January 2020.

For the eleventh consecutive year, CERHA HEMPEL has – in cooperation with the business law programme at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien) – awarded prizes to those students who have written the best dissertations on the subjects of law and commercial law.

Since December 2019, Dr. Bernhard Oreschnik, LL.M. has strengthened the tax practice of CERHA HEMPEL as an attorney in the team headed by Dr. Benjamin Twardosz, LL.M.

Dr. Holger Bielesz strengthens the dispute resolution team at CERHA HEMPEL as a partner from 1 January 2020.

Cerha Hempel has advised the shareholders of ELIN Motoren GmbH, the Austrian electric motor manufacturer, on the sale of a 70% stake in the company to the Voith technology group.

CERHA HEMPEL Managing Partner Dr. Albert Birkner, LL.M is a lecturer on the master's programme in commercial law (LL.M. Wirtschaftsrecht) at UNI for LIFE, part of Karl Franzens University of Graz.

At the first European Legal Awards in Paris, CERHA HEMPEL won an award in the "European and Public Law" category.
