For the second time, CERHA HEMPEL has organised the European Future Challenge in cooperation with ELSA (the European Law Students Association).

The number of partners at CERHA HEMPEL increases from 1 February 2023: Mag. Christopher Peitsch, Mag. Jakob Hartig, LL.M. and Mag. Christoph Reiter have been made partners of the firm.

For the fourteenth consecutive year, CERHA HEMPEL – in cooperation with the business law programme at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien) – has awarded prizes to those students who have written the best dissertations on the subjects of law and commercial law.

The real estate team at CERHA HEMPEL has advised ARE Austrian Real Estate on the acquisition of an office and hotel building at Sonnwendgasse 11-13 in Viennese district "Favoriten" from Generali Real Estate. Closing took place at the end of 2022.

Austrian STADLMANN TEC and STAR, which is based in the Netherlands, will work together to support their clients in connection with projects designed to facilitate an energy revolution in Austria and Germany, primarily to help them implement sustainable projects in the fields of energy and (industrial) production.

Matthias Nödl (45) was previously an attorney in the Real Estate & Construction de-partment at CERHA HEMPEL from April 2013 to January 2022. Since rejoining the firm in December 2022, he has once again been supporting the team headed by Dr. Peter Vcelouch.

Peter Knobl, partner at CERHA HEMPEL specializing in banking supervisory and capital markets law, has updated the Overview of Banking Regulation in Austria, published by Thomson Reuters, to reflect the current status of the law as of 1 December 2022.
