CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati, one of the leading law firms in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe, has strengthened its team of lawyers with the additions of Mag. Walter Pöschl (32) and Dr. Hans Kristoferitsch, LL.M. (29).
Employment Law expert Walter Pöschl
Walter Pöschl joined CHSH in June as part of the team headed by CHSH partner Mag. Julian Feichtinger. The Klagenfurt-born lawyer, who boasts many years experience in the areas of employment and civil law, will be responsible for advising and supporting both national and international clients in matters of employment law.
Pöschl graduated from the University of Graz in 2000 and, prior to his current role, spent over three years as an associate at CHSH and over two years as an expert in employment law at the Styrian Chamber of Commerce. His particular expertise covers the structuring of management-level employment contracts, advising on contract terminations and, particularly relevant to today’s climate, potential employment law-related issues in times of economic difficulty.
European Law expert Hans Kristoferitsch
Hans Kristoferitsch also joined CHSH in June as part of the Public Corporate and European Law team headed by Hon. Prof. Dr. Irene Welser and Univ. Prof. DDr. Peter Lewisch. His main responsibilities, alongside advising on questions of public corporate and regulatory law, include representing cases that come before Austrian authorities, the Courts of Public Law as well as the European Commission. His particular expertise focuses on state aid law, a particularly relevant area for companies in times of economic difficulty.
The Vienna-born lawyer graduated from the University of Vienna (Mag. iur. 2002, Dr. iur 2004) and Harvard University (LL.M. 2005) and henceforth becomes a Senior Attorney in Vienna. He previously spent three years as an associate at CHSH and over two years as an Assistant Professor for European Law at the European Institute of the University of Economics in Vienna.
