On Thursday 13 March 2025, CERHA HEMPEL hosted a distinguished event in its Bel Etage as part of its Global Perspectives series, featuring the renowned Nobel laureate Anton Zeilinger. Speaking on the fascinating topic of "Excellence – (how) can you recognise it?", Zeilinger shared some of his unique insights and experiences with an enthusiastic audience.
CERHA HEMPEL partner Heinrich Foglar-Deinhardstein kicked off the event by introducing the winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics, who is known for the groundbreaking work he has done in quantum physics.
In the subsequent lecture, Anton Zeilinger discussed, among other things, creating the right conditions for achieving excellence, illustrating his remarks with practical examples. He stressed that curiosity, enthusiasm and an atmosphere that encourages open-mindedness are crucial to recognising and promoting excellence. The insights he shared were very well received by the audience and they sparked a lively discussion.
During the subsequent get-together, many of the numerous guests took advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas and information with each other and to talk to the Nobel laureate in person.
