Merger Control: Fine for infringement of the standstill obligation

The European Commission imposed a (still appealable) fine of EUR 124.5 million on Altice, a Dutch cable and telecommunications company.

 

On 24 April 2018, the European Commission imposed a (still appealable) fine of EUR 124.5 million on Altice, a Dutch cable and telecommunications company, for implementing the acquisition of the Portuguese telecommunications operator PT Portugal before notification or approval of the transaction.
