On Tuesday, 9 June 2026, Vienna once again became a key meeting point for the M&A community. The second Interdisciplinary M&A Summit, held at the Park Hyatt Vienna, brought together leading decision-makers, experts, and industry representatives from across the DACH region to discuss current developments and future trends in the M&A landscape.
Organized by Business Circle, the Summit has quickly established itself as one of the most significant events in the industry. Its second edition once again featured high-calibre expert insights, engaging discussions, and outstanding networking opportunities.
CERHA HEMPEL Managing Partner Clemens Hasenauer is responsible for the overall program of the M&A Summit.
Together with Robert Ranftler (AT&S), he presented a session on current developments in transaction documentation and contract drafting. The discussion covered key topics such as modern liability concepts, purchase price adjustment mechanisms, and practical experiences with Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) insurance.
Another highlight of the Summit was the panel discussion moderated by Clemens Hasenauer on the topic “M&A Boom in the Defence Sector.” Together with Veronika Böhm (Steinmayr & Co), Herbert Decker (Maschinenfabrik Liezen & Gießerei), Stephan Jansen (academic, founder and entrepreneur), and Matthias Sebera (Federal Ministry of Defence), the panel explored opportunities, challenges, and current developments shaping M&A activity in the defence industry.
The Summit provided a full day of expert insights, inspiring conversations, and forward-looking ideas for the future of the M&A market.
