On Monday 27 March 2017, CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati hosted in its conference rooms an event of the Austrian-Brazilian Association of Commerce. The event was very well attended by representatives of Brazilian and Austrian companies and investors who learned first-hand about current legal and tax issues in cross-border transactions between Brazil and Austria.
Dr. Paulo César Duarte (Tax Partner, Rothmann Sperling Padovan Duarte Advogados), Johannes Prinz (Tax Partner, CHSH), Heinrich Foglar-Deinhardstein (Partner, CHSH) and Heloisa Monteiro Schwabl (Brazilian Desk, CHSH) gave a series of talks during which they provided an overview of the facts and trends relating to cross-border relations and financial flows among companies and investors in Brazil and Austria.
"The exceptional interest shown in the event and the excellent response we had confirms our view that Brazil – being the largest economy in South America – will always be of greatest interest from the perspective of the Austrian economy”, said Heinrich Foglar-Deinhardstein (Partner, CHSH), pleased with the successful event.
