Numerous guests from leading Austrian and international companies accepted an invitation to attend an event entitled "Antitrust Law 2019 – Big Data & Compliance" held in the conference rooms of CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati on Tuesday 21 May 2019.

Mag. Barbara Seelos (Case Handler, Federal Competition Authority) – following an introduction by CHSH antitrust partners Dr. Bernhard Kofler-Senoner, LL.M (Head of Antitrust) and Dr. Anna Wolf-Posch, LL.M. – gave a fascinating lecture on the enforcement priorities of the Federal Competition Authority in connection with big data. Afterwards, in her lecture Anna Wolf-Posch highlighted the impact of digitalisation on the compliance requirements to which businesses are subject.

Bernhard Kofler-Senoner and Dr. Michael Mayer (Counsel, CHSH) gave an overview of trends and developments in antitrust law in Austria and the European Union during the second part of the event.

Questions raised by participants were the focus of intense debate both during and after the event.
