CERHA HEMPEL received two awards at this year’s Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards in London: CERHA HEMPEL Partner Hon. Prof. Dr Irene Welser received the award for ‘Central & Eastern Europe Women Litigator of the Year’, whilst Senior Associate Mag. Daniel Dibon was named ‘Central & Eastern Europe Associate of the Year’.
At the awards ceremony held on 24 September in London, the outstanding achievements of the two CERHA HEMPEL experts in the fields of litigation and arbitration were recognised.
The jury highlighted Irene Welser’s breadth of work and the significance of the matters she handled over the past year, noting in particular the scope and complexity of her practice:
“Her work on complex, precedent-setting mandates, exceptional client recognition, and sustained influence across Central and Eastern Europe make her a standout choice for this year’s award. We were impressed by the range of her work this year and the scope of the cases she was working on.”
Daniel Dibon was recognised for the high quality of his work on demanding matters, together with the level of responsibility he has assumed as an associate. The jury noted:
“We felt that Daniel Dibon played a pivotal role in sophisticated cross-border litigation and arbitration matters, whilst demonstrating a level of responsibility, technical excellence and client visibility rarely seen at associate level.”
The Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards recognise outstanding achievements in the field of litigation. Particular emphasis is placed on significant and innovative legal disputes, the impact of the cases and their contribution to the development of the law. The awards honour law firms and litigators who have delivered exceptional performance at local and national level. It also recognises and highlights outstanding young talent to keep an eye on.
