Stefan Huber, LL.M., and Anna Wolf-Posch, LL.M., both of whom are partners at CERHA HEMPEL, have authored a comprehensive handbook entitled "Digitales Wirtschaftsrecht – Digitalisierung, Regulierung und Technologie im Wirtschaftsrecht" (Digital Commercial Law – Digitalization, Regulation, and Technology in Commercial Law), recently published by Verlag Österreich.
The handbook examines a wide range of legal issues arising from the ongoing digitalization of all areas of commercial law. The topics covered include virtual and hybrid meetings, liability issues for management, digital M&A processes, current digital banking, the Digital Markets Act, and digital antitrust law. It also focuses on the conclusion of contracts by electronic means.
The work is supplemented by contributions on related areas of law, such as tax law (digital currencies held as business assets), labour law (in particular, obligations under works agreements relating to IT measures), and cyber-crime law.
The handbook provides a sound introduction to the subject as well as in-depth explanations and is notable for its high level of real-world application. The authors all work at CERHA HEMPEL. This guarantees a high degree of practical relevance as well as an in-depth description of the law.
