At an award ceremony in Vienna on 4 October 2023, CERHA HEMPEL and LexisNexis won the "Promoting the Best" Award as the Best Legal Tech Innovation Provider of 2023 for their introduction of the Closd tool. Dr. Hans Kristoferitsch, LL.M., partner at CERHA HEMPEL, accepted the award.

Closd is an extremely versatile tool capable of mapping the entire life-cycle of a transaction – from data room due diligence to the transaction bible. Closd is therefore ideal for handling large-scale projects and cases, such as M&A or real estate transactions, where many contributors need to collaborate with each other.

"We'd like to thank LexisNexis for their outstanding teamwork and for providing excellent support and we're delighted to be the first law firm in Austria to implement the Closd tool in close cooperation with LexisNexis. Closd allows us to work even more efficiently on projects with our clients. We're also very pleased that our legal tech initiatives have now been awarded the Promoting the Best Award 2023," said Hans Kristoferitsch and Mark Krenn, responsible for legal tech at CERHA HEMPEL.

"We're proud to have received this award and we'd would like to thank CERHA HEMPEL in particular, whose feedback has proven to be instrumental for us in continuously improving our Closd product, which has recently become an important part of the LexisNexis product family. This award is another significant milestone for us on our journey. We remain committed to improving how the legal industry works and to helping lawyers and businesses work more efficiently and effectively." said Susanne Mortimore, CEO LexisNexis.
