CERHA HEMPEL and GCM Parker organised a conference in Prague on "Antitrust & Competition Compliance in CEE"

On 23 and 24 March 2023, the "Antitrust & Competition Compliance in CEE" conference took place in Prague.

 

On 23 and 24 March 2023, the "Antitrust & Competition Compliance in CEE" conference took place in Prague.

The conference was held for the sixth year in a row, focusing on antitrust compliance systems, sustainability, current developments in merger control, the new Vertical Block Exemption Regulation, digitalization, antitrust damages, the exchange of information, market dominance and many other relevant topics.

CERHA HEMPEL partner and head of the CEE antitrust practice group, Dr. Bernhard Kofler-Senoner, LL.M., gave a talk in which he examined "Cooperation Agreements and Sustainability".

CERHA HEMPEL partner Dr. Anna Wolf-Posch LL.M. participated in a panel discussion together with Christoph Baert (Senior Managing Counsel, Mastercard) and Attila Komives (Counsel, Allen & Overy, Budapest) that addressed the topic "Which information exchanges can be risky – and which are more likely to be acceptable".

CERHA HEMPEL partners Boyko Gerginov (Bulgaria), Mgr. David Kučera (Czech Republic) and Márton Kocsis (Hungary) discussed the "Interplay between competition law and consumer protection".

Numerous delegates, including representatives from the business community, officials from national competition authorities, economic consultants and lawyers from CERHA HEMPEL's offices in Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia, made the conference a real success and enjoyed getting together on the sidelines of the CERHA HEMPEL Networking Dinner.
