CERHA HEMPEL advised IRMA Investments GmbH ("IRMA") in connection with a co-investment by Raiffeisen Beteiligungsholding GmbH of RLB OÖ in IRMA's investment company Energetica Industries GmbH ("Energetica"). Together with its new partner, IRMA is planning to further develop Energetica and continue its successful expansion.
Energetica manufactures intelligent premium photovoltaic modules renowned for their unique blend of cutting-edge technology, performance and durability. With 25 years' experience of developing and producing photovoltaic modules and PV system components, Energetica is one of Europe's leading brands for high-end products for rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems and special applications. Currently, the factory in Liebenfels is one of Europe's largest and most efficient production facilities for PV modules, boasting a nominal production capacity of 400 megawatts per year once the current investments have been implemented, and employing around 100 people. Production is exclusively carried out in Austria.
Despite the extremely limited time available, all steps involved in this challenging and demanding transaction were completed efficiently and according to plan. This was only possible due to the excellent collaboration, both on a professional and personal level, between CERHA HEMPEL and the highly professional teams involved in the transaction at IRMA and Raiffeisen Beteiligungsholding.
The contracting parties agreed not to disclose any details regarding the shareholding acquired by Raiffeisen Beteiligungsholding.
Closing is subject to the approval of the competent competition authorities and is expected to take place in the second half of 2023.
