A celebration of legal literature at the first Hungarian Law Book Salon

The Hungarian Lawyers Association and the Constitutional Court of Hungary joined forces to organise the First Hungarian Law Book Salon on 18 September 2021.

The  Hungarian Lawyers Association and the  Constitutional Court of Hungary joined forces to organise the First Hungarian Law Book Salon on 18 September 2021. The event was held in the spectacular setting of the beautiful Károlyi-Csekonics Palace, where publishers of Hungarian law books showcased their most important books to the audience and where the Grand Prix of the Book Salon, an award founded by the Hungarian Lawyers Association and the Constitutional Court, and Wolters Kluwer’s fifth annual Legal Awards were presented.

The event saw the debut of the Commentary to the Public Procurement Act (“A Kbt. nagykommentárja”), one of Wolters Kluwer’s most important titles of the year, which counts many of our colleagues among its authors and which was edited by Attila Dezső Partner of CERHA HEMPEL Hungary.

The importance of this high-profile event was underscored by fact that its organisers want to it to become a tradition for the legal profession and a venue where the most distinguished lawyers, scholars and judges in the country can meet each other and the general public. The Salon was visited by the President of the Republic, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court and the Chairman of the Curia, which also added lustre to the event.
