Since October 2022, MMag. Dr. Roman Heidinger, MA has strengthened the IP & IT department as an attorney. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for many years in teaching (in Germany and elsewhere) and for a renowned corporate law firm in Vienna.
MMag. Dr. Roman Heidinger, M.A. studied law at the University of Vienna (Dr. iur. 2006) and business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Mag.rer.soc.oec. 2006). He also graduated with an M.A. in English Law from the University of Wolverhampton (UK) in 2001.
In addition to IP & IT, his practice areas at CERHA HEMPEL also include unfair competition and e-commerce law. Given his technical expertise in the field of telecommunications, Dr. Heidinger also advises clients on legal issues at the interface with technology in particular.
Dr. Heidinger regularly publishes articles on his specialist subjects and also gives lectures. Further, he is a permanent lecturer at the University of Göttingen in the field of IT and IP as well as international private and civil procedural law. Dr. Heidinger is also deputy chairman of Infolaw, a research association that organizes the Austrian IT Law Day.
