Guest lecture at the Juridicum Vienna: Corporate finance in the digital age
On 13th of May, Dr. Oliver Völkel, LL.M. will give a guest lecture on “Corporate Finance in the Digital Age” as part of the course “Corporate Law and Digitalization”. The lecture is dedicated to the profound changes in corporate financing due to digital technologies and new legal frameworks.
A particular focus will be on the development from traditional securitization to the tokenization of securities. This transformation will be examined from both a legal and an economic perspective and illustrated using current practical examples and regulatory developments.
The aim of the lecture is to give students a well-founded insight into the potential and challenges of digital forms of financing in the corporate context.
