CERHA HEMPEL continues its expansion in CEE by opening an office in Ljubljana on 1 March 2024 in cooperation with the Slovenian law firm Ulčar & Partners.

CERHA HEMPEL has been active in the CEE region for many years. Its objective is to expand its market position with a view to offering its clients integrated and cross-border advice in all areas of commercial law in Central and Eastern Europe.

This collaboration with Ulčar & Partners in Slovenia represents another important step forward.

With its headquarters in Ljubljana, Ulčar & Partners specialises in M&A, corporate law, banking and finance, employment, antitrust and competition, and dispute resolution. The firm's international background, its local and regional expertise, its track record of insightful, strategic, and effective legal advice, and its understanding of what clients operating in the CEE region need guarantee first-class advice.

“In Ulčar & Partners we have found a strong partner. By opening an office in Slovenia, we are integrating into our CEE network a strategically important neighbouring country, thereby strengthening our service portfolio in the CEE region. Consequently, we're continuing to work towards achieving our strategic goal of being a leading law firm in Central Europe in every area of corporate law.” said Managing Partners Dr. Albert Birkner, LL.M. and Dr. Clemens Hasenauer, LL.M./MBA.

The cooperation with CERHA HEMPEL also represents a significant milestone for Matjaž Ulčar, Managing Partner at Ulčar & Partners. "This strategic partnership with one of the most renowned corporate law firms in the CEE region marks a significant milestone for us and is a proof of the quality, dedication and hard work our team has consistently demonstrated over the years. For our clients, the collaboration with CERHA HEMPEL means access to an even broader spectrum of legal expertise, resources and solutions that are tailored to meet their diverse needs. It will also open new avenues to serve an expanded client base, particularly in the Adriatic region.”
