CERHA HEMPEL appoints two new partners

The number of partners at CERHA HEMPEL increases from 1 February 2022: Dr. Armin Schwabl, LL.M. and Mag. Nadine Leitner have been appointed partners.

As one of Austria's largest and most renowned corporate law firms with offices in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe, CERHA HEMPEL continues its expansion.

Dr. Armin Schwabl (39), LL.M. makes partner in the Public Commercial & European Law Team

Dr. Armin Schwabl was previously Counsel at CERHA HEMPEL, specialising in public commercial law, data protection and regulatory litigation. He advises clients in the life sciences sector in particular, with a focus on pharmaceutical, pharmacy and food law. Dr. Schwabl regularly publishes articles and gives lectures on these subjects. He studied law in Vienna and at the University of Chicago and is admitted to practice law in Vienna and New York. Prior to joining CERHA HEMPEL, Dr. Schwabl worked for the US law firm Covington & Burling in Brussels and as a research assistant at the Institute for Austrian and European Public Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Mag. Nadine Leitner (34) makes partner in the Takeovers & Antitrust Team

Nadine Leitner has been an attorney at CERHA HEMPEL since September 2018. Her practice areas include in particular mergers and acquisitions, company law, foundation law, and venture capital. Mag. Leitner studied law at Johannes Kepler University in Linz (Mag. iur. 2013) and spent her entire time as an associate at CERHA HEMPEL. In keeping with her international orientation and outlook, she worked for the Foreign Trade Office of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce in New York and the New York branch of Raiffeisen International Bank prior to joining CERHA HEMPEL. Nadine Leitner is the author of numerous publications on her specialist subjects and is a member of the supervisory boards of Mavoco AG and Freeeway AG, both of which are software companies specialising in the Internet of Things. IFLR1000, the renowned legal directory, lists Mag. Leitner as a "Rising Star" in the field of M&A.
