CERHA HEMPEL appoints three new partners

The number of partners at CERHA HEMPEL increases from 1 February 2023: Mag. Christopher Peitsch, Mag. Jakob Hartig, LL.M. and Mag. Christoph Reiter have been made partners of the firm.

As one of Austria's largest and most renowned corporate law firms with offices in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe, CERHA HEMPEL continues its expansion.

Mag. Christopher Peitsch (35) becomes a partner in the Employment Law team

Christopher Peitsch has until now been an attorney at CERHA HEMPEL and is a recognised expert in employment law. In addition to representing employers in court and before administrative authorities, his practice areas include in particular advising clients on the law governing working time, the cross-border deployment of personnel, and the provision of employment law advice in connection with corporate transactions. He studied law at the University of Vienna (Mag. iur. 2011), then joined our firm as a trainee lawyer and has been working for CERHA HEMPEL as an attorney ever since he passed the bar exam. He is the author of numerous publications in his area of expertise and lectures at FHWien der WKW, the University of Applied Sciences for Management and Communication in Vienna.

Mag. Jakob Hartig (35), LL.M. becomes a partner in the Corporate & Commercial team

Before making partner, Jakob Hartig was a counsel at CERHA HEMPEL specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, and reorganisations. He has many years' experience of providing advice to national and international clients and is the author of numerous publications in his areas of expertise. In addition to M&A transactions, he specialises in advising on complex corporate law issues and assisting clients from Italy. He studied law at the University of Vienna (Mag. iur. 2010), and in Bologna and at King's College London (LL.M. 2012). He then joined our firm as a trainee lawyer and has also been working for CERHA HEMPEL as an attorney ever since he passed the bar exam.

Mag. Christoph Reiter (35), becomes a partner in the Corporate & Commercial department

Christoph Reiter has until now been a counsel at CERHA HEMPEL. His practice areas include IT/TMT, e-commerce, general civil and contract law, and insolvency law and restructurings. Christoph also has many years' experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions and of providing project-related advice to national and international clients. He is also a member the Tech & Digitalization team at CERHA HEMPEL. He regularly lectures and publishes articles on his specialist subjects. Christoph studied law in Linz (Mag. iur. 2011) and has been working for CERHA HEMPEL as an attorney ever since he passed the bar exam.
