For the 4th edition of "BWG – Kommentierung des Bankwesengesetzes sowie der CRR" (Commentary on the Banking Act and the Capital Requirements Regulation) edited by Laurer/M.Schütz/Kammel/Ratka, CERHA HEMPEL Banking & Capital Markets partner Peter Knobl has revised and updated his commentary on Sections 60 to 63b of the Banking Act.

It is the only commentary that examines the provisions applicable in Austria to bank audits, current as of October 2021. Current developments have been taken into account, such as the mandatory application of the European single electronic format for annual financial reports and block tagging for annexes to the consolidated financial statements of listed credit institutions prepared in accordance with IFRS and the proposed reforms put forward by the Working Group on Banking Supervision at the Federal Ministry of Finance in the wake of the insolvency of Commerzialbank Mattersburg.

"We're extremely pleased that on the eve of dealing with the consequences of the insolvency of Commerzialbank Mattersburg, Peter Knobl has completed updating the commentary on the regulations governing bank audits, and that the commentary will be available within the next days," says editor Prof. (FH) Dr. Armin Kammel, LL.M. (London), MBA (CLU).
