Unfair competition and intellectual property are two other areas we specialise in. We have a great track record of representing clients in court proceedings for unfair competition and we regularly advise clients on all matters relating to intellectual property rights.

Asserting and defending the rights of our clients is one of our core areas of expertise. We provide representation before courts and national and international trademark authorities and also assist our clients with out-of-court disputes.

In addition, we oversee the national and international protection of trademarks for our clients, provide them with trademark management services and help them develop IP strategies. The range of services we provide also includes legal advice on employee inventions.

We assess and examine advertising and marketing measures (competitions, comparative advertising, product labelling and design), check for possible labelling conflicts and provide assistance on contractual issues relating to intellectual property. In terms of compliance with unfair competition legislation, we also check to ensure our clients comply with information requirements under the E-Commerce Act, Distance Selling Act and Consumer Protection Act.
