CERHA HEMPEL advises the Borealis Hotel Group on its acquisition of the Bierwirth & Kluth group of companies

CERHA HEMPEL has advised the Borealis Hotel Group on its acquisition (including acquisition financing) of the Bierwirth & Kluth group of companies, comprising twelve hotel businesses in total.

CERHA HEMPEL has advised the Borealis Hotel Group on its acquisition (including acquisition financing) of the Bierwirth & Kluth group of companies, comprising twelve hotel businesses in total, with approximately 3,000 rooms in Germany and Austria. In Austria, Borealis acquired the premium brand hotels Renaissance Wien, Courtyard Vienna Prater and MOXY VIENNA Airport.

CERHA HEMPEL advised the client during the complex cross-border transaction, which was structured as a share deal, together with the German law firm Osborne Clarke, beginning from the offer phase, through due diligence, to contract negotiation and implementation. As a result of the acquisition, the Borealis Hotel Group has been able to strengthen its presence in the DACH region decisively.
