On 2 and 3 December 2019, CERHA HEMPEL sponsored the GCM Parker Anti-Trust & Competition Compliance in CEE conference in Prague.

CERHA HEMPEL organised, together with the Austrian Japanese Society (ÖJG) and the Japan External Trade Organization, an evening on the subject of "Working and Living in Japan – How different is Japan?"

 

 

On 21 November 2019, the Compliance Circle discussed the question "How do I motivate my employees to conduct themselves in compliance with (antitrust) legal requirements?" in CERHA HEMPEL's conference rooms, in collaboration with Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Kocher.

 

As part of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of CEPANI (the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation), CERHA HEMPEL partner Hon.-Prof. Dr. Irene Welser has been among the distinguished panellists on a "Round table on the new CEPANI Arbitration Rules in force as from the 1st of January 2020 and the Limits to Party Autonomy" in Brussels and also gave a lecture.

On 7 and 8 November 2019 the European Aviation Conference took place at the Law Faculty of Vienna University on the subject of "Pricing in Aviation: Issues and Innovations. Are prices too high or too low or just right?" CERHA HEMPEL senior attorney Univ. Prof. DDr. Peter Lewisch took part in the panel discussion on the topic "Have airline Joint Ventures resulted in higher air fares and reduced service? Will increased intervention by competition authorities on both sides of the Atlantic encourage more competition?"
