Mag. Alina Alavi Kia becomes an attorney at CERHA HEMPEL

With effect from May 2022, Mag. Alina Alavi Kia (33) strengthens the team headed by partner Dr. Hans Kristoferitsch, LL.M. as an attorney specialising in IP, unfair competition and media law.

With effect from May 2022, Mag. Alina Alavi Kia (33) strengthens the team headed by partner Dr. Hans Kristoferitsch, LL.M. as an attorney specialising in IP, unfair competition and media law. Before joining CERHA HEMPEL, she worked for a law firm in Vienna that specialises in IP and media law.

Mag. Alavi Kia studied law at the University of Vienna, graduating in 2016 (Mag. iur.).

Her practice areas at CERHA HEMPEL include unfair competition, trademarks, design, copyright and media law, and employee inventions. What’s more, she advises on legal issues relating to food and, together with Dr. Armin Schwabl, LL.M., writes the "Food Law Corner" blog (Foodlawcorner.com) at CERHA HEMPEL.

Mag. Alavi Kia regularly lectures on trademark law for companies and special interest groups, among other things, and is the author of publications on her specialist subjects.
