CERHA HEMPEL has joined forces with Codara, an AI start-up based in Vienna, to develop an AI-powered regulatory monitoring tool that can continuously monitor relevant legal sources – from RIS and Findok to EUR-Lex databases. The system is able to process over 1,000 legal documents per week and uses AI models specially trained on legal texts to minimise hallucinations and ensure maximum accuracy.
Core functions: Intelligent automation meets legal expertise
Real-time monitoring and intelligent alerts: Automatically detects relevant legislative changes and sends personalised notifications directly to the relevant departments.
AI-based compliance analytics: Changes are identified, analysed and processed, together with precise summaries and specific recommendations for action.
Structured workflow management: Clear dashboards sort compliance activities by legal area and department – from the General Data Protection Regulation to financial market regulation – all at a glance.
Complete audit trails: An integrated audit log documents all activities and decisions.
To ensure maximum legal certainty, experts at CERHA HEMPEL also offer a managed service where all AI-generated recommendations for action are reviewed and validated.
"We're delighted to be part of this highly innovative project in the field of legal AI, and to be creating measurable added value for compliance processes in companies", says Hans Kristoferitsch, partner at CERHA HEMPEL and project manager.
"Thanks to our interdisciplinary collaboration with CERHA HEMPEL, we were able to create a compliance tool that combines legal precision with technical innovation", said Bernhard Landrichter, Managing Director at Codara.
