CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati continues its expansion in CEE and will open an office in Prague from 1 January 2013 in cooperation with the Czech law firm Kališ & Partners.

CHSH has been active in the CEE region for many years. Its objective is to expand its market position with a view to offering its clients integrated and cross-border advice in all areas of commercial law in Central and Eastern Europe. Its cooperation with Kališ & Partners in the Czech Republic represents another important step forward.

Kališ & Partners have been active on the Czech market since 2009 following a spin-off from DLA Piper. The law firm which has its headquarters in Prague specialises in M&A, company law, banking, project finance, real estate and litigation. The firm's international background, its local expertise and its understanding of what clients operating in the CEE region need guarantee first-class advice.

"In Kališ & Partners, we've found a fantastic partner. Both of our law firms have been cooperating very successfully for some time now. By opening an office in the Czech Republic, we're adding a neighbouring country to our CEE network which was previously missing. This means a further expansion of our recognised position in CEE, a region whose potential we continue to believe in", said Dr. Johannes Aehrenthal, CEE Partner at CHSH.

JUDr. Petr Kališ, Partner at Kališ & Partners, also regards the cooperation with CHSH as a significant milestone: "Cooperating with one of the most renowned law firms in CEE will create completely new opportunities for our clients and for the firm, not least because of CHSH's large network."
