The Austrian Association for Construction Law (ÖGEBAU) has presented the ÖGEBAU Prize 2018 to CHSH attorney Dr. Alexandra Stoffl, BA, MA (30). The official award ceremony was held on 15 November 2018 at the Austrian National Library.

Dr. Alexandra Stoffl received the award for her dissertation entitled "Limits of inspection, warning and monitoring obligations for service contracts" (Grenzen von Prüf-, Warn- und Überwachungspflichten beim Werkvertrag). The jury stressed in particular the wide range of literature and case-law she reviewed, as well as the high quality and practical relevance of the dissertation, which will be published by MANZ.

The Austrian Association for Construction Law presents the ÖGEBAU Prize to a graduate who has written a truly exceptional dissertation on a subject relating to private construction law, law on architecture, engineering and civil engineering, property development law, labour and social welfare law, public construction law or procurement law that is of relevance to the Austrian construction industry.

"We're extremely pleased that Alexandra Stoffl – a recognised expert in construction law – has been presented with this special award and we're certain that the book will generate a positive response in the construction industry given its practical nature", said Hon.-Prof. Dr. Irene Welser, Head of Contentious Business at CHSH.

Dr. Alexandra Stoffl is an attorney and has been with CHSH for over seven years. During this time, she has specialised in particular on litigation, construction law and arbitration. She was awarded her doctorate in February 2018, graduating with distinction in civil law/construction law.
