CHSH has advised Finedining, a subsidiary of KKR on the sale of WMF

Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati advised Finedining S.à r.l. (“Finedining”), an indirect subsidiary of funds advised by KKR on the sale of the WMF Group to the French household equipment manufacturer Groupe SEB.

(“Finedining”), an indirect subsidiary of funds advised by KKR on the sale of the WMF Group to the French household equipment manufacturer Groupe SEB. CHSH acted as local counsel to Finedining in both Austria and the Czech Republic. Hengeler Mueller acted as lead counsel to Finedining.

Founded in 1853, the WMF Group is one of the leading premium manufacturers of cutlery, tableware and kitchen products, as well as professional coffee machines, which has its headquarters in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany. The WMF Group is represented in over 40 locations worldwide and operates nearly 200 retail shops in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The acquisition is still subject to occurrence of merger clearance by the competent authorities.

The transaction was coordinated by CHSH led by partner Albert Birkner (Corporate/M&A) and senior counsel Sarah Wared (Corporate/M&A). The Czech team consisted of partner Pavel Široký and senior associate Zuzana Hrbáľová (both Corporate/M&A).
