CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati has every reason to celebrate after re-ceiving yet another international accolade. At this year's ITR European Tax Awards ceremony, which is held every year by the renowned specialist magazine "International Tax Review", CHSH received an award for its fantastic achievements in the category "European Court of Justice Firm of the Year – Indirect Tax".

Following a legal dispute spanning many years, the EU General Court in Luxembourg issued a judgment on 13 May 2015 rejecting both appeals brought by airline Niki in connection with the acquisition of Austrian Airlines by Lufthansa.

CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati has advised the IMMOFINANZ Group in connection with financing of EUR 300 million for a prime Austrian real estate portfolio. The deal is one of the biggest real estate financing transactions in Austria in recent years.

The Administrative Court has confirmed the ruling of the Federal Administrative Court which rejected a decision relating to an environmental impact assessment for the 220 kV overhead line between Weidenburg and Somplago. The Environmental Ombudsmen for Carinthia engaged the services of CHSH to represent it before the Administrative Court and was thus able to put forward all key arguments.
