The Yearbook on International Arbitration, co-edited by CHSH Managing Partner Irene Welser, which has meanwhile become the standard Austrian publication for issues relating to arbitration, was unveiled on Friday 4 March 2011 in Palais Todesco, with significant national and international participation.

On 1 March 2011, Univ.-Prof. DDr. Peter Lewisch, Senior Attorney at renowned law firm CHSH, was appointed Professor of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna.

The antitrust team at CHSH successfully advised STRABAG during the course of and in connection with merger control proceedings before the European Commission concerning the creation of a joint venture with EW4E, a company belonging to the publicly listed GDF SUEZ energy and environment group which has operations worldwide.

CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati advised Ferrexpo AG ("Ferrexpo") on the acquisition of Erste Donau-Dampfschiffahrts-Gesellschaft m.b.H ("DDSG").

CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati advised OMV Aktiengesellschaft, the leading energy group in the European growth belt, on the increase of its stake in Petrol Ofisi A.S. from 41.58% to 95.75%.

Kommentar zum EUV / AEUV (Commentary on TEU and TFEU), published by Univ.-Prof. DDr. Heinz Mayer, includes a number of commentaries written by Dr. Peter Vcelouch, partner at CHSH, on Articles 15, 288, 296 and 297 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati advised Morgan Stanley and Raiffeisen Centrobank in connection with VERBUND AG’s EUR 1 billion capital increase.
