On Monday 27 March 2017, CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati hosted in its conference rooms an event of the Austrian-Brazilian Association of Commerce.

The Vienna-based investment manager GalCap Europe has acquired a renovated palais in the centre ofBudapest under its Eastern European mandate for an individual fund of a German pension schememanaged by Institutional Investment Partners.

CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati Rechtsanwälte advised OMV in connection with the sale of all of its shares in the Turkish mineral oil distribution company OMV Petrol Ofisi AS (Petrol Ofisi) to Vitol Group. The CHSH M&A team under the lead of Clemens Hasenauer acted as Austrian transaction counsel for OMV.

Led by its partners Clemens Hasenauer (Lead Partner, Corporate/M&A) and Harald Stingl (Partner, Corporate/M&A), CHSH advised U City Public Company Ltd. on the combined acquisition of Vienna House hotel portfolio from two Austrian private foundations and Warimpex Finanz- und Beteiligungs AG.

CHSH served as advisor in all Austrian legal aspects of LifeNet Health’s recently concluded acquisition of Krems-based tissue bank AlloTiss.

CHSH has represented in proceedings before the Administrative Court two appellants who challenged the existing practice where family allowance is – as it were – notionally deducted by authorities when calculating the financial aid for higher education studies granted to foreign students studying in Austria.
