On Thursday 30 November 2017, numerous guests from leading Austrian and international companies learned first-hand about shareholder agreements, a subject normally shrouded in secrecy, in the conference rooms of Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati.
In their lectures, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ulrich Torggler LL.M. (University of Vienna) and CHSH partners Mag. Heinrich Foglar-Deinhardstein LL.M. (company law) and Mag. Mark Krenn (Head of CEE Real Estate Practice) gave an overview of the drafting possibilities, the governance of a syndicate, shoot-out options and the special features of joint ventures in the real estate sector. Furthermore, CHSH partner Dr. Bernhard Kofler-Senoner LL.M. (Head of the Antitrust Practice Group) gave a lecture examining the antitrust pitfalls of joint ventures.
"Shareholder agreements can be relevant for every business – from start-ups to companies listed on the stock exchange. Tailor-made solutions are however required. The immense interest in our event goes to show that it's still a topical issue", explained Heinrich Foglar-Deinhardstein and Mark Krenn (partners at CHSH), pleased with the success of the event.
