On 3 and 4 December 2015, the GCM Parker conference "Anti-Trust & Competition Compliance in CEE", which was co-organised by CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati, took place in Prague.
Yvo de Vries (Philips International B.V.) chaired the conference and also gave a lecture on "Preparing for and Surviving a Dawn Raid". Helene Millenaar (Akzo Nobel), Maria Troberg (Nokia Corporation), Dr. Regula Dettling-Ott (Deutsche Lufthansa AG) and Vitaly Pruzhansky (RBB Economics) also examined current topics such as "Resale Price Maintenance", "Antitrust Risk Assessment as part of Effective Corporate Compliance", "State Aid and Competition" and "The Economics of Merger Control and Information Sharing".
The conference also took place against the backdrop of current anti-trust developments in online trading, which is why CHSH partner Dr. Bernhard Kofler-Senoner dedicated his lecture to the subject of "Current Challenges and Decisional Practice in Online Distribution". Together with Chairman Yvo de Vries and Robert Neruda (Partner, Havel Holásek & Partners), Dr. Bernhard Kofler-Senoner also discussed "The Damages Directive – Where do we go from here?". Finally, representatives of the European Commission and national competition authorities – the Austrian Federal Competition Authority was represented by Dr. Maximilian Diem – gave an insight into current cartel law developments from an enforcer’s perspective.
Numerous representatives from the business community and anti-trust lawyers from CHSH’s CEE offices took part in the conference.
