New partner for CHSH’s tax practice

CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati expands its tax practice with the addition of Benjamin Twardosz and his team.

Benjamin Twardosz became a new partner in the tax team of CHSH with effect as of 1 January 2018. Two of his Associates have joined him and also moved to CHSH.

Dr. Benjamin Twardosz, LL.M. (37) is admitted both as an attorney-at-law as well as a certified public tax advisor and has been advising national and international businesses on various tax matters for many years. Before joining CHSH, Benjamin Twardosz has been a senior attorney at Wolf Theiss Attorneys-at-Law for more than 8 years (partner since 2012). He is well known for his lectures and publications (such as Commentary on the Stamp duty Act, Handbook on Supreme Administrative Court Procedure, and others). According to Chambers he is an "outstanding individual" in the area of tax litigation.

With Benjamin Twardosz as a new tax partner, CHSH wishes to enhance the specialisation within the tax practice group. CHSH offers integrated legal and tax advice in all areas of law. Besides Benjamin Twardosz, two other partners continue to practice in tax law: Johannes Prinz, who is also admitted both as an attorney and as a tax advisor, and advises clients on reorganisations, financing operations and structuring of M&A, and Peter Knobl, who is renowned for taxation of investment funds and financial products.

"I look forward to strengthening CHSH’s tax practice with my team. At CHSH I'll be able to focus even more on my own subjects of specialization, like international tax law and corporate tax, transaction taxes, as well as tax litigation  and fiscal criminal law ", Twardosz says.

Dr. Clemens Hasenauer, Managing Partner: "We're very pleased that Benjamin Twardosz, whom we've known and appreciated highly for many years from both a personal and professional perspective, has decided to join our team. By this addition we continue to work towards our goal of being one of the leading law firms in Austria in all areas of business law".
