CHSH appoints four new partners

The number of partners at CHSH will increase from 1 January 2010. Four new partners will join the ranks of the existing 13 partners: Bernhard Kofler-Senoner, Johannes Prinz, Manfred Ton and Thomas Trettnak.

Bernhard Kofler-Senoner will be CHSH’s new anti-trust partner

Dr. Bernhard Kofler-Senoner, LL.M. (Fordham), 33, has led the anti-trust team at CHSH since 2006. Furthermore, he helped establish a successful anti-trust practice in CHSH’s offices in Central and Eastern Europe so as to be able to provide companies with comprehensive legal advice on anti-trust issues throughout the entire region. As a result of this, CHSH has been able to conclude numerous prominent anti-trust and merger proceedings in recent years, both in Austria and at the European level.

Kofler-Senoner was awarded his doctorate from the University of Innsbruck in 2001. In 2002, he graduated as a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the Fordham University School of Law, New York. Having received a Fulbright scholarship, Kofler-Senoner also worked as an assistant for European competition law at Fordham University. He is the author of numerous publications on Austrian and European anti-trust law and has been with CHSH since 2002.

Johannes Prinz will be CHSH’s new tax partner

As a partner, MMag. Johannes Prinz, 38, will significantly strengthen CHSH’s tax law practice. Johannes Prinz is an attorney and tax consultant with many years’ experience advising national and international clients. Prinz previously played a key role in helping to establish and introduce integrated legal and tax services at CHSH.

Among other things, Prinz advises his clients with regard to tax-efficient transaction structures, especially in the fields of mergers & acquisitions, international tax law, restructurings and structured finance. Prinz has been with CHSH since 2002. He is the author of several publications and is also a lecturer on taxation issues.

Manfred Ton will be CHSH’s new partner for Real Estate & Construction

Dr. Manfred Ton, 36, has been working in the field of real estate law for more than 10 years and has extensive experience in national and international real estate transactions.

He graduated from the University of Vienna in 1996 and has been with CHSH since 2007. Ton is the author of numerous publications and he is also a lecturer at the faculties of law of the Universities of Brno and Bratislava.

Thomas Trettnak will be CHSH’s new Corporate & Commercial partner

As a partner, Dr. Thomas Trettnak, LL.M./CM (Northwestern/Kellogg), 34, will considerably strengthen CHSH’s Corporate & Commercial team. He is a specialist in M&A transactions (especially Private Equity and Venture Capital), corporate law and restructurings, and logistics. He also has extensive experience advising Spanish-speaking clients.

Trettnak has ten years’ experience advising national and international clients. He routinely publishes articles on his specialist subjects and he has been with CHSH since 2004. Trettnak completed his studies at the University of Graz, the University of Madrid, Kellogg Business School (Master’s Degree in Management) and the Northwestern University School of Law (LL.M.) in Chicago. He is also admitted as an attorney in New York.
