Christian Thaler becomes an attorney at CHSH

With immediate effect, Dr. Christian Thaler (29) is now an attorney at CHSH. He will contribute to the continued expansion of the firm's corporate team.

 

With immediate effect, Dr. Christian Thaler (29) is now an attorney at CHSH. He will contribute to the continued expansion of the firm's corporate team.

The business law graduate specialises in advising corporate clients, and in (cross-border) M&A transactions and capital markets law. In addition, he often advises clients on issues such as restructurings, reorganisations and questions relating to takeover law. In his new position, he will complement the corporate group of the Takeovers and Antitrust Department at CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati.

Christian Thaler studied law at the universities of Vienna and Stockholm. He specialised in banking and capital markets law at Goethe University Frankfurt and was awarded his doctorate on the subject of financial market supervision law from the University of Vienna. Christian Thaler started his legal career at CHSH back in 2008. He has meanwhile also held the position of research assistant at the Institute for Civil and Corporate Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business where he also focussed on company and capital markets law. He regularly gives lectures at special events and has published numerous publications. His upcoming "Sanktionenbuch", which examines the sanctions that can be imposed in cases of market abuse, is due to be published by MANZ in the near future.
