For the fourth time, CERHA HEMPEL has organised the European Future Challenge in cooperation with ELSA (the European Law Students Association). Law students and young professionals from Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia are invited to participate in this international competition.

On Thursday 13 March 2025, CERHA HEMPEL hosted a distinguished event in its Bel Etage as part of its Global Perspectives series, featuring the renowned Nobel laureate Anton Zeilinger. Speaking on the fascinating topic of "Excellence – (how) can you recognise it?", Zeilinger shared some of his unique insights and experiences with an enthusiastic audience.

The agreement signed by OMV and ADNOC on 3 March 2025 provides for the strategic combination of Borealis and Borouge under the name Borouge Group International – marking the historic birth of a new global group with headquarters and corporate seat in Vienna and regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

CERHA HEMPEL advised the shareholders of the Austrian Semantic Web Company GmbH and the company itself on a highly complex cross-border transaction with the Bulgarian Ontotext AD.

Together with the Faculty of Law of the Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna, CERHA HEMPEL is for the first time organizing a law clinic on the Freedom of Information Act for Austrian municipalities, scheduled to be held in the 2024/25 academic year. 

For the sixteenth consecutive year, CERHA HEMPEL – in cooperation with the business law programme at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien) – has awarded prizes to those students who have written the best dissertations on the subjects of law and commercial law.
