On 16 November 2017, Dr. Edith Hlawati – CHSH Senior Partner and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Österreichische Post AG – was presented with the prestigious "AREX Award" in the "Listed Companies" category. The award ceremony took place at the Grand Hotel Vienna as part of the 3rd Supervisory Board Gala, with approximately 350 guests in attendance.
The AREX Award (for supervisory board excellence) is awarded to the best supervisory boards in Austria, as chosen by a distinguished expert jury.
It is awarded in recognition of the quality of the supervisory board, based on the following criteria: understanding one's role on the board, the position of advisor, appointment and composition, diversity, independence, forward-looking and socially-oriented company management, and corporate governance. The financial situation of the company and sustainability were also significant factors taken into consideration.
