CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati received two important accolades at the first "Advocatus" awards ceremony held by the Austrian newspaper Die Presse. CHSH won "Deal of the Year" in two categories.
Die Presse presented one award to the CHSH litigation team headed by Hon.-Prof. Dr. Irene Welser for successfully advising ASFINAG in connection with a series of complicated liability proceedings regarding the Liesertal Bridge (L40) on the Tauern motorway, and a second award was presented to the M&A team headed by Dr. Albert Birkner and Dr. Bernhard Kofler-Senoner (Antitrust law) for the first-class advice provided to Telekom Austria on the takeover of Orange's subsidiary Yesss! by Hutchison 3G Austria ("Drei").
The teams were praised for their excellent achievements and the fantastic quality of their work. The winners were chosen on the basis of client evaluations and research carried out by the editorial department at Die Presse.
The awards were presented to the winners during an official award ceremony on 12 September 2012 at the Palace of Justice.
